Jump Down Turn Around, Pick A Bail Of Cotton by ~TheRealIkeman
Now I know this can be seen as offensive and polarizing, just know that my intention is to get people to think not offend, and also I myself am African- American.
This is the 4th painting in my series about how college is more of a business then a learning institution. Basically I wanted to talk about how colleges use athletes; they make millions and millions of dollars off of them and don’t pay them anything. Sure they get scholarships, but most college athletes don’t graduate or go pro. Basically what im saying is athletes do all the work and get none of the profit. The reason I have black athletes is because they are the majority of college athletes. Also no offense to Ohio State i used them because they are one of the richest athletic programs in the U.S. While your at it look up the statistics on who much these schools make, and what the GPA’s of the athletes are, and their graduation rates are, you will be shocked. The reason this athletes are smiling is because sometimes they are oblivious to whats going on. (Sometimes not all the time.)
This painting was done in oils
Go Get My Money B—-H! by ~TheRealIkeman
This is the 3rd painting in my series about how college is more of a business then a learning institution. Basically I wanted to talk about how colleges use athletes; they make millions and millions of dollars off of them and don’t pay them anything. Sure they get scholarships, but most college athletes don’t graduate or go pro. This painting is supposed to look like a blaxploitation movie poster (I used Superfly as inspiration) because most college athletes are black and they are being exploited. The Notre Dame mascot is supposed to represent the colleges who “pimp” the athletes. (No offense to Notre Dame it’s just that they are the richest college athletic program in the nation.) Basically what im saying is athletes do all the work and get none of the profit.
This painting was done in pastels then glazed over with oils.
