This is a mural I worked on in conjunction with Cedric Cox, The Kennedy Heights Arts Center, and Gabriel’s Place. For 3 weeks I worked with a bunch of kids ages 10-15, what we did was paint a mural on a tool shed in the garden area. They wanted something about unity, community and growth, and this is what me and the kids came up with.

The whole Trayvon Martin case has me really upset so I decided to make some art, about it. There is a really big parallel between this case and what happened to Emmett Till.Two Black boys who were killed for the crime of being Black in America.
